Shadowrun - PC

Shadowrun
Genre : Online-Based Fantasy First-Person Shooter
By : Microsoft Game Studios , FASA Studio
Platform : PC , XBOX360
Official site : http://shadowrun.com/

Screenshot Resolution : 1680x1050 - Gameplay footage

Unique ability to play versus XBOX360 players while playing on PC, alot of action in this game and reminds me of Quake and Unreal but doesnt really reach all the way. Graphics are really nice and so its the sounds/music but the gameplay and enviroments gets really boring fast. Even tho its great fun, just wondering for how long.

I will give this game 3 GzoneN out of 5 and if you like the Quake and Unreal series this might be the game for you!

Have you played this game? Write a comment on your opinions!

Noo!! You do NOT want to recommend this to Quake or Unreal players - why? Because they're guaranteed to hate it. Shadowrun is nothing like those games, instead it's naught but an amped up version of Counter Strike - with even worse and less engaging gameplay.

Perhaps this might be your kind of game if you're into Counter Strike, Call of Duty or Halo, but it's the last thing you ever want to present to a Quake or UT player - they'll rip out the DVD and abuse and burn it as if it were the devil itself.

Personally I don't think it even looks all that good, Quake 4 and even Doom 3 look a lot better (and I hate the plastic look of Doom 3, which should say a lot about the visuals in Shadowrun). As for cross-platform gameplay, not only does it require a monthly fee, but it also severely handicaps PC gamers: worse recoil and no auto-aim (yes, Xbox players get auto-aim) - granted that's probably the only way an Xbox player could genuinely kill a PC player in a FPS.

If I had to rate this it'd rank in at about 2.5/10 - perhaps 4/10 if you liked Counter Strike/Call of Duty 2 (because that's what it takes after).
